I have loved these lazy South American hairballs (after whom one of the seven deadly sins gets it`s name) for years, but never really bothered to research them much because I seem to share a common trait with this creature.
Three-toed sloths are about the size of a small dog and spends most of it`s life chillin in the trees. From the look of those poor fellows above I`d say a stoll between trees is a terrifying prospect. It can take them literally hours to crawl between trees or to and from lakes etc.
The kinda have the feeling of being a sort of South American version of a Koala, only less fluffy and more blissfully cool.
The sloth travels at a top speed of 0.15 mph. Not good for crossing busy roads.
And this one has a little educational commentary too.
